Rev. Yawson - Something New At Ivy Q Album Launch

By Iposu Elijah Oluwakayode

Celebrated Gospel Artiste, Rev. Thomas Yawson, joins other celebrities to honour Ivy Q at the launch of her album "Baba God." With his ministration, he took fans down memory lane with a rendition of songs like "Wogye Me So", "Wa Dom Do So" and "Adamfo Bi". He re-emphasieze his gift to minister in words and song. His perfoemance was spirit-driven pushing the cords of praise higher.

As the composer of Something New, one of the tracks on the album, Rev. Yawson explains that in composing the song, "a lot of work; a lot of thinking and waiting on the Lord" went into it. "Music is preaching the word of God with the use of melody. It will reach many people who you might never see or meet all your life.  So you have to take into account that you are going to be a blessing to them."

Something New was composed to minister to people who might have lost something in the life or people who are holding unto something with the fear of letting go. It reassures of God's unfailing  love and ability to always look unto God.

In addition to composing the song, he equally co-produced the track. Rev YAwson is a Gospel Artiste and Pastor at International Central Gospel Church UPSA Assembly and Vice President Musicians Association of Ghana, MUSIGA.
